  As the saying goes: walk on the ice. After a snowstorm, recently, the balihe winter fishing Cultural Tourism Festival opened grandly. Winter fishing, head fish public auction, lion and dragon dance, flower drum lantern performance and other activities made the balihe suddenly lively, and the surging flow of people stirred up the cold winter.

  Balihe fishery is located at the intersection of yinghuai River in the south of Yingshang County. It has 27000 mu of water surface of the great lake. The lake area has beautiful landscape, rich biodiversity, profound cultural precipitation and good water quality conditions. It is an important commercial fish and fish species production base in Northwest Anhui. It is rated as the "national leisure fishery demonstration base" by the Ministry of agriculture and the first fishery certified by organic food in Northern Anhui. The adjacent balihe national 5A tourist area is famous at home and abroad for its western characteristics and beautiful natural ecology. The scenery of balihe and the fish of balihe have long become a shining business card of yinghuai land.

  At about 9:00 am, colorful flags were fluttering along the balihe River, and traffic was busy. Wu Jianhua, director of Fuyang tourism bureau, and Zhang Bin, deputy county head of Yingshang County Government and Secretary of the balihe town Party committee, jointly announced the opening of the balihe Great Lakes winter fishing season! So far, the vigorous balihe fishing, hunting and winter fishing officially began.

  Balihe winter fishing is different from other fishing methods. It adopts the way of "inviting the king into the Urn". The fishermen drive their boats one month in advance to expel the fish from east to west. Gradually, it will gather nearly 20000 mu of fish on the water surface to more than 100 mu of area fenced with purse seine net near the wharf. The purse seine is big in front and small in back. It is shaped like a treasure bottle. It gradually closes up. Finally, it is close to the shore. The bottleneck is only more than one meter wide. When starting fishing, just open the "bottle mouth" and put the fish in like water, and then the fishermen roll up their sleeves in this shallow water area to catch it.

  At 9:28, with a sound of "head fish out of the water!" Shouting, I saw a herring of more than 60 kg caught by fishermen. The vicinity of the fish outlet wharf was immediately surrounded. Everyone took mobile phones and cameras to aim at the fish outlet from far to near, and recorded the spectacular scene of winter fishing with a lens. At the subsequent head fish auction ceremony, after fierce bidding, this huge herring was finally auctioned by an enterprise at a transaction price of 400000 yuan. The obtained funds will establish a poverty alleviation fund in balihe town for poverty alleviation and assistance.

  It is understood that the winter fishing activities in balihe will last for nearly a month, and 100000 kg can be caught and sold every day, mainly involving organic fish of many varieties such as bighead carp, silver carp, crucian carp and carp. The total output is expected to exceed 2 million kg. Next, balihe town will continue to dig deep into the cultural heritage of winter fishing, combine it with the development of global tourism, rural tourism and cultural tourism, make every effort to build a characteristic town of balihe fishing town, expand and strengthen the balihe winter fishing Cultural Tourism Festival, and build it into the most winter tourism and cultural event with local characteristics in East China!
